Burgundian Madness

Well, I almost made it.  It needs a hem and the neck line tacked down.  And someday down the line, the sleeves are getting switched out (I really hate pattern drafted sleeves.  I should have altered them from the get go).  Otherwise, I am pretty happy with it.  Oh, its also OSU/Halloween/Satanic (ha ha Wela) colors.  I just now realized that.

Update on Burgundian madness....

I tacked on the black velvet around the collar this morning while I was waiting for my hair to dry.  So for the dress, other than replacing the crappy pattern sleeves (luckily I overestimated on fabric necessary), I need to do a quick hem/tack of the collar facing under the velvet, and then hem the puppy (which I may do on machine, but holy morton, the circumfrence of the hem is huge).

I also took a break from the dress last night to do a simple black velvet belt.  Now, if I eat my wheaties, I am going to do a Hennin at lunch.

Continuing Burgundian Madness

I just made 95% of a truncated Hennin on my lunch break.  I need to glue in the veil wires when I get home (or to Tulsa, probably).
