My Weekly Update
Jun. 13th, 2006 10:00 amHowdy everyone. So here is what has happened in the last couple of days~
1) Applied for a job. Thought I didn't get it, but it turns out that I did! Yay! I am the new counter help at The Greek House in Norman, for which I get minimum wage, half the tips in the tip jar at the end of my shift, lunch and pop if I want it, and something to do for 6 hours a day besides sleep. I like it so far, but I am pretty sore.
2) Cox finally came out to fix my TV. The guy was nice and apologized that two cable boxes had failed on me in less then a month. He also reprogrammed my remote to access my TV gratis. So hopefully, this will fix the problem.
3) Got a darn parking ticket at the law school yesterday. I have put through the application for my parking Permit, I hadn't gotten a notification it was ready for pickup, and as I was running late yesterday morning and couldn't go by Parking to see if it was ready, I went ahead and parking in the school lot, and sure enough, I got a ticket. I am going to see if they will waive it, but if they don't, I will cancel the permit and park at the un-monitored lot a block away and walk.
4) Got to spend some time with Peter this weekend, and made some potentially HUGE headway in the search for the documentation needed for his passport (woohoo!!!). Also got to see CARS, which is a very cute movie, and had a bunch of picnics, which was nice.
5) Saw "Take the Lead" with Ken, which wasn't quite Dangerous Minds with Ballroom dancing, but was still a pretty good movie.
For the rest of the week,
Working every day 11-5, doing grocery shopping probably tonight (yay Albertsons Sale), reading for fun, and cleaning house. This coming weekend- Time with Peter and I in the Norman area, maybe (we are waiting to see what's happening...).
Later Days.
