So, my favorite Oklahoma Cafe of all time burned down Tuesday Night.  For those who haven't been there, the Rock Cafe has been in operation since the 1930s, when it was constructed from the rocks pulled up to make way for Route 66.  It has by far the best Chicken Fried Steaks on the planet.  Owner Dawn Welch has been there 15 years, and was the inspiration for the character of Sally the Blue Porsche in the Disney/Pixar film, CARS.

Dawn plans to rebuild, noting that the original walls made it, though everything else was gutted, including all the really cool stuff the guys from Pixar gave her.  Peter and I love this place and go as often was we can.  Our thoughts are with Dawn right now.
