Thoughts from the end of the weekend...

5. I had a great time this weekend at Mongols on Campaign. http://www.facebook.com/photos.php?id=9609634#/photo.php?pid=38889570&id=9609634 The dress is pulled a little askew, but I really like how it came out. And
evil_fionn has a wicked ability to sense cheap fantastic fabric.
4. I didn't get nearly as much done on my apartment as planned, but I did finish the prototype of the Doe's Grace medallions I have been working on, and I really liked how it came out.

4. I didn't get nearly as much done on my apartment as planned, but I did finish the prototype of the Doe's Grace medallions I have been working on, and I really liked how it came out.
3. There is local politic going on. I plan to pretty much keep my head down for the forseeable future.
2. Turnip Gratin- 1lb turnips, peeled and sliced medium thick slices. 1/2 stick butted and 1 tbl garlic, melted and slightly sauteed. 1/2 cup parmesan. Layer half the turnips on the bottom of a glass baking pan. Sprinkle with half the cheese, salt and pepper to taste, and drizzle with half the butter and garlic. Add second layer of turnips, repeat the topping. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes until fork tender.
1. Pears in Poma-berry Glaze. Cut 4 pears in half, core and remove the stems. Place in a pie pan peel side down. In a small sautee pan, take 1 cup of pama liquor or pomagrante juice, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1/2 cup raspberry and blackberry mix, and reduce of medium-low heat for 10 minutes. Pour over the pears, and bake at 350 for 20 minutes.
